If you’ve ever heard the term “Senioritis,” then you know exactly where I’m at right now.
Imagine the panic I felt as I pulled into the University parking lot at 9:10 am. My class was going to start at 9:30, and I still needed the library printer for the paper I was to turn in this morning. I felt overjoyed as I ran to the bus stop just as the bus I needed pulled up. I hopped on board, and off we went towards the library.
As many readers wonder, yes I am hoping to start writing regular posts. I know my status as a blogger is as the title suggests. I want to write, I want to be a good writer. I want to travel, and I want to put all these years of being in college to good use. I’m also terrified that my wants and my dreams are taking me in another direction all together. Those that know me personally won’t find this […]
Family Vacations Ever wanted to go somewhere and get away for a while? Well why not do it!? Recently my family and I went to Tennessee. My mom and step-dad saved up all year so we could take a week and just let go. It was an adventure I am happy to share with my followers here. Getting Started In the week leading to our trip, I had to figure out what to take. The weather in Indiana has been […]
Ok, so it may not have been that long and many of you probably haven’t been holding your breath, but I’M BACK! What now? Over the next few posts I’ll be recounting some of the adventures that I haven’t been able to share with you due to lack of internet access. Maybe a preview of some of the next adventures I have planned will make an appearance? You never know what I’m going to do next, and I like it […]
Surprise!!! Two weeks ago, my mom had planned a “family and friends Thanksgiving dinner” for me since I will be at boot camp this year. Where I thought maybe two or three other family members and a handful of my friends were coming to enjoy some turkey and mashed potatoes, turned into a going away party for me with a lot of family and friends, friends’ families, friends that are more like family, and a sound booth, neighbors, and way […]
I love this type of weather, it’s just cold enough that hot food is the only thing I want to eat (like chili). If you’ve never had chili before let me start off by apologizing because you are missing out, my friends. Next, you are all probably wondering what has prompted this seemingly random rant on this particular dish. Today is the Annual Chili Cook-off at my church! I am extremely excited because chili is one of my favorite meals […]
Hello all my wonderful followers! Today is a momentous landmark for me. It is the start of my final push toward becoming a United States Sailor. Back Home Again… That’s right, I’m moving out of my apartment and going back home to my mom’s. Now most people wouldn’t want to admit that, but I am so blessed and truly thankful to my mom for offering to let me bring my many boxes of stuff to her house to save me […]
Today I got the opportunity to attend the 38th annual Old Washington Street Festival. Old Washington Street is a historic neighborhood in Muncie. The East Central Neighborhood association has hosted the event since 1967 to fund community activities and to help restore some of the old houses. I spoke with Liz McDonald, a volunteer from the association who was giving tours of the Emily Kimbrough house. “It’s very cool what they are doing here,” she said, “they are starting restorations […]
A Few Changes First off, I changed the name of the blog because I wanted it to more reflect me. Second, I plan on writing a lot more to let you all go with me on the journey I have decided to embark on. Now What? If you’ve been following me, then you know that I joined the US Navy Reserves. I will be leaving in November for Boot Camp at the Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois. After what […]
